DIA Creative
Drop-In Workshop
[ All 4 Days ] |
This summer the
Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA) will be coming to the Wyandotte
Street Art Fair with drop-in workshops. Part of the DIA's "Great
Art, New Start" campaign, the art making workshops give children
and adults a chance to be creative. DIA staff artists will
provide instructions to use beads, bells, wire, leather and
markers to make a wrist/ankle rattle. Participants can take the
whimsical percussion instrument home for future enjoyment.
The DIA is currently undergoing
a six year, 60,000 sq. ft. renovation project, including a
complete reinstallation of the galleries that will provide
visitors with a more comprehensive and engaging experience of the
museum's exceptional collections. The museum will re-open to the
public on November 23, 2007. |
