After years of being in the pop and rock world, Roy believes he has found a musical medium in which his musical expression comes through honestly and effortlessly.

He enjoys the aspect of instrumental music in the sense that there are no lyrics to sway the listener to thinking only one way about a piece of music or a song. And with the aid of sound effects one can be transported to an island, a panoramic view or anywhere the imagination wants to venture to. "This is one of my favorite aspects of instrumental music".

"People sometimes want to label my music as New Age. I would like to think of it as more of a tapestry of classical pop, folk and sometimes jazz. My compositions feel like condensed epic pieces for guitars, keyboards, voices and percussion-like acoustical classical. Music a classical composer would write if he were living in today's world."
